Hazel is a treasure. She is totally suitable for the novice leisure rider that wants to hack around the countryside in total safety.
She has a laid back, easy and quiet temperament and knows her job. She is a Normandy cob and is very true to type. A real leg at each corner and a real eyeful of cob.
From the second you mount Hazel you will feel safe and secure. Her ride is willing and extremely comfortable. She is not in any way sharp or strong. She is mannered and obedient to her rider. Her canter is a joy, balanced, slow and rythmic.
Hazel is very secure in herself and hacks out beautifully on her own. She is totally non spooky and non competitive when out in company whether she is in lead file or behind.
She takes up alot of leg but doesn't feel wide to ride and she is easily up to 18 stone. A real 'chunky monkey'.
Her owner tells me she is fantastic to clip and great with the farrier.
She is always a poppet to catch and bring in from the field and anyone, even the non horsey person, can handle her.
Hazel is totally reliable and totally loveable. She is not marish in any way and she ia a joy to have on the yard.
